Part of hacking is building skills. VISTA F3 held a hands-on workshop led by Inclusive Innovation Specialist Adrian Buitron Boada, and supported by Ajit Singpal. Participants built their own soil moisture sensors using Arduino microcontrollers and 3D printed parts, learning how to assemble, code, and explore ways everyone can optimize water usage through technology.
For the fourth year, VISTA F3 supported the AgTech track at HackMerced! Students used their coding and technology skills to tackle real-world agriculture challenges. From MooGuard’s AI-powered cattle tracking to PlantDoctor’s smart disease diagnosis, the creativity and innovation were remarkable.
