Last month, Dr. Josh Viers, Associate Vice Chancellor for Interdisciplinary Research and Strategic Initiatives and VISTA Faculty Director at UC Merced delivered a talk at Prairie View A&M University. During his presentation, Dr. Viers highlighted the agtech research being conducted at UC Merced and addressed the pressing issue of water scarcity in California. His talk focused on the escalating water insecurity caused by population growth, and the growing demands from urban areas, agriculture, and ecosystems.
