The jujube team is currently redesigning the agricultural processing machine used for jujube pitting. The new design shifts from a horizontal to a vertical pitting motion, a change expected to improve efficiency and simplify alignment during operation.

The machine will remain semi-automatic, requiring an operator to place and orient the jujubes in a tray before processing. This approach maintains control over fruit positioning while reducing manual labor compared to hand-pitting.

The team is now in the testing phase, developing a two-jujube pitting model to evaluate the new vertical mechanism. These prototypes will be used to assess pitting consistency, force requirements, and ease of operation before advancing to a full-scale build.
