This month, the UC Merced Experimental Smart Farm (ESF) team proudly represented the university at the Mariposa Agrinature Tour, hosted by Casto Oaks Winery and UC Cooperative Extension.

The event brought together farmers, ranchers, educators, artists, and families to celebrate local food systems, sustainability, and community. Highlights included the Farm-to-Fork Dinner at Sierra Cider, where Chef David Shatzle prepared a locally inspired meal paired with handcrafted cider. The ESF team was honored to join this inspiring celebration of the people and partnerships driving agricultural innovation and resilience across our region.
