On April 16, researchers from across the UC system convened at the UC Student and Policy Center in Sacramento to identify key research priorities for climate-smart California water policy. Representing UC Merced, Lauren Parker, Jack Severson, Josh Viers, Becca Ryals, and Kimberly Gibson joined interdisciplinary colleagues to develop recommendations for future research and policy.
Josh Viers moderated the opening session, “How can research support policy for climate-resilient California water?”, featuring panelists from LBNL, the State Water Board, CDFA, and the Delta Stewardship Council. The event was hosted by the PPIC Water Policy Center.
