This summer, VISTA F3 student Ethan Vu joined the AgAID Undergraduate Research Internship, working with Professors Joshua Viers and Teamrat Ghezzehei on AI-Assisted Rapid AgTech Development. Ethan contributed to an Arduino-based STEM kit to teach middle schoolers about soil-water interactions and developed a prototype automated CO₂ flux measurement system to advance soil science research.

Reflecting on his experience, he shared: “The projects I worked on this summer offered me invaluable exposure to engineering disciplines while deepening my understanding of soil physics and project management.”

F3 faculty Dr. Xiaoyi Lu also mentored a project on designing a digital twin farm with AI integration.
