PhD Candidate Soil Physics
Hola! I am Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Merced. I study the world underneath our feet… SOIL! I am interested in understanding how external stresses (water availability, dry spells, and rising temperatures) influence soil carbon dioxide emissions.
As a first-generation bilingual student, I aspire to spread environmental awareness and environmental justice in both English and Spanish in academia, research, and local communities. I am always looking forward to new opportunities to challenge my knowledge, communication skills, and community engagement.
